Who is affected
It depends upon the type of arthrosis you are diagnosed with.
Cervical arthrosis – people about 40 are prone to suffer from it. As far as facet arthrosis is concerned, this type of arthrosis affects mainly elderly people.
People with abnormal posture can suffer from lumbar arthrosis or wrong position of the body that is regularly repeated.
AC joint arthosis is a problem of middle-aged people.
Symptoms
During cervical arthrosis the neck is affected, where the patient experiences stiffness and difficult head movements. At this the person suffers from pain. It is common for people who work long hours.
During facet arthrosis joints that belong to the posterior part wear out. It is possible to cure only mild forms of facet arthrosis with drugs and posture corrections. More severe cases should be treated with exercises, physical activity and etc.
Coxarthrosis is a disorder that affects hip joints and is called arthrosis of hip joint. The joint cartilage is worn out in this case too therefore the patients experience discomfort. It is extremely difficult to move with this condition.
Lumbar arthrosis is provoked by chronic deterioration between the lumbar vertebrae.
AC joint arthosis brings to discomfort and painful sensations in shoulder. This condition brings to osteoarthristis. The condition is developed after hyperextention, fall or some injury in this area. Lifting heavy objects can bring to the disease. The person suffers from mild pain as a rule.
Upon the whole the symptoms include:
-
Pain
-
Stiffness
-
Swelling
Treatment
Treatment may depend upon the type of arthrosis experienced by the patient and the severity of the syndrome.
When the patient has problems with cervical arthrosis then hot showers can be appointed. The patient needs to do physical exercises too. Relief can be obtained thanks to over-the-counter medications. The medications that are able to reduce swelling are also good. For instance, Ibuprofen and Aspirin.
When the patient is diagnosed with coxarthrosis, surgical therapies are applied for treatment. When orthopedic therapies and drugs are chosen they are not effective.
Lumbar arthrosis is treated with special immobilization braces, which are created individually to let the spine rest and remain in the right posture. A lumbar support belt can be of help as well. It removes the pressure exerted on the vertebrae. Some mistakenly believe that lumbar support system increases the risk of muscle loss.
Natural therapies can be applied when one is diagnosed with AC joint arthrosis.
Stem cell therapy is able to enhance the condition of patients who suffer from deforming arthrosis. Intravenous administration of stem cells brought excellent results and UCTC clinic invites all those who want to have effective therapy apply for treatment of this non-inflammatory disorder. The cartilage of the joints wear out during the process and stem cell treatment is able to restore cells in this area.
There are a lot of advantages of using stem cell therapy for patients who suffer from arthrosis. They can safely remove pain and return to active lifestyle without spending much time on unproductive treatment.
