Treatment of the consequences of Сovid -19 using a unique method at UCTClinic

We have all felt how the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting our lives. Now we live in the threatening situation when the vaccine is still in the development process and the fact of infection, the severity of the disease and the pathological consequences of the disease depend on the resistance of the human immune system to the effects of the virus.

We have concentrated the main efforts of our doctors and biologists on two tasks: increasing the resistance of the patient's immune system to the attack of a virus and a complex treatment of the COVID-19 consequences.

Strengthening the immunity with fetal stem cells

The specialists of UCTClinic have developed a unique treatment regimen aimed at increasing the body's immune defense according to the method of Professor Smikodub.

Our studies have shown that the use of fetal stem cells gives the body an additional resource for the production of cytotoxic lymphocytes - natural killer cells, which provide the body's response to intracellular infection by bacteria and viruses, killing infected cells. Natural killer cells recognize infected cells on their membrane and provide the body's fastest immune response. They are also involved in the creation of anti-tumor immunity.

The administration of fetal stem cell suspensions increases the number and activity of antigen-specific cytotoxic T-lymphocytes, which cause the death of cells infected with viruses, demonstrating epitopes of foreign antigens on the surface. At the same time, it increases the number of phagocytes - capable of capturing and absorbing various foreign complexes - bacteria, destroyed infected cells, amino acids toxic to the body.

As a result, a powerful cellular immunity is formed while stimulating humoral immunity. A stable immunological memory is formed, which allows the immune system to quickly and effectively recognize a previously identified antigen and start an immune response.

Regeneration of organs and tissues of the body affected by the effects of Covid-19

Studies have established an attack by the Covid-19 virus on cells that contain the ACE-2 receptor. Blood vessels, heart, liver and kidneys are affected. However, most of all, in patients who have had viral pneumonia caused by influenza A H1N1 and Covid-19 viruses, the lungs are damaged. Most recovered patients have such a formidable complication as pulmonary fibrosis - scarring of the lung tissue, after which the organ cannot function normally. According to worldwide studies, some of the recovered patients have lost 20-30% of their lung capacity. Life expectancy in case of progressive pulmonary fibrosis is on average 2.5 to 3.5 years.

As a result of fibrosis, the elasticity and extensibility of the lung tissue decreases, and the passage of oxygen and carbon dioxide through the wall of the alveoli (pulmonary vesicles, in which the inhaled air comes into contact with blood) becomes difficult. The most intensive process of fibrosis of the lung tissue occurs during the first year after recovery. It is for this reason that the doctors of the UCTClinic see their primary task in eliminating the consequences of the global epidemic of Covid-19 in preventing the development of fibrosis.

The Unique Cell Treatment Clinic has developed a comprehensive treatment of pulmonary fibrosis using preparations based on fetal stem cells. As for today, fetal stem cells surpass all other types of stem cells in terms of the regenerative potential of all organs and tissues of the body and especially the lungs damaged by fibrosis. The number of injected natural (not grown artificially in-vitro) fetal stem cells - precursors of lung tissue is hundreds of times higher than the possible number of natural stem cells obtained from the placenta. In fact, we simultaneously inject into the patient’s body such a quantity of natural stem cells that is unattainable by other known methods.

Our studies have shown that the precursor fetal stem cells used in UCTClinic effectively regenerate lung tissue, improve its elasticity, and increase the functional properties of the alveoli. Fetal stem cells secrete large amounts of cytokines that reduce pneumonia. At the same time, the damaged network of blood vessels connected to the lungs is restored.

As a result, lung tissue is restored, gas exchange and oxygenation of tissues of the whole organism are activated. No side effects were observed during treatment.

The most effective period for cell therapy according to the method of Professor Smikodub is the interval between 4 weeks after convalescence until reaching 6 months, as a result of which the risk of the formation of chronic cor pulmonale is minimized.
